Travelling around Bristol

It's really easy to get around Bristol. Bristol is the hub of Britain's national cycle routes, an important inland harbour and a starting point for waymarked country walks. You can walk around, try the cycle lanes or even the ferries if you are going a further afield.

Regular bus services and rail links offer easy access to the city, coast and countryside.Visitors can also combine travelling around with a sightseeing tour making this the ideal Bristol hotel for leisure travellers.

The central area is well signposted for walkers. Walking Maps are available at all Information Centres. More detailed maps of Bristol and the surrounding area can also be purchased from all Tourist Information Centres. Or you can ask at reception for more information.

Bristol is the hub of Britain's national cycle routes and home of Sustrans, Britain's leading sustainable transport charity. If you're cycling in Bristol or are a cycling enthusiast, make sure you visit Mud Dock - this revolutionary combination of cycle works and café provides everything a cyclist could need, from repairs, lockers and showers to a great cup of coffee!

Bristol has 3 Park and Ride routes allowing you to park your car and take a bus into the city centre - saving you money on parking and helping the environment too. For details of car parks in the city ask at the reception of our Bristol hotel. The city has an interesting one way system around the centre but the traffic moves fairly quickly at all times.

It's really easy to get around the city by bus. First Group (38 bus services) and other bus services operate regular bus services.
